Cruiser style 'middle weight' with front and rear chrome fenders and front
and rear racks. All original except for the tires and 1 spoke on the rear
wheel.
The bike has a bendix 2 speed kickback coaster hub and is a dream to ride.
The bike is in excellent condition taking into account that it is nearly 40
years old. The fenders have taken a few hits and are a tad dented, but the
chrome on the bike has only minor pitting here and there, no large patches
of rust.
Photos via e-mail on request.
This bike weighs a good 50 pounds at least, I am not willing to box and ship
it, pick up is at my house in Oceanside California, or my work in Carlsbad.
$75 or best

The web page is basically a portal to the archives of the mailing list.
Once you are signed on to Yahoo! go to the BOBish page:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BOBishBikesFS
and you will see a short list of the latest postings to the list. There are
links to archives by month along the bottom of the page. This version of the
list has only been around a few months and I haven't been able to build the
large daily digests for most of that time, so you won't find too many bikes
for sale at this point. It may be January before I can dig out of my other
responsibilities and devote more time to this list.
Hope this is of some help,

Raleigh Gran Sport in excellent condition. New tires and cotter pins
were recently installed when the bike was overhauled, otherwise it is
completely original. Paint has chips where a waterbottle cage was
removed but is very clean overall. The bike was ridden very few
miles. I recommend remounting a cage on the down tube to cover over
this spot. The bike has the original Raleigh (Blumel)fenders.
Designed as a sport bike it has a headlight mount on the fork.
Equipped with Campagnolo Grand Sport derailleurs, Swallow saddle, and
the extremely rare GB Courier 66 brakes. The red anodized handlebar
center sleeve along with the red anodized brake levers coordinate
well with the red frame.

I have a beater fixed gear now, but it will really take more money than I
should spend to make it presentable. To make it something I might want to
keep long term, it needs the steerer replaced (French diameter with Raleigh
threading) and a repaint. I don't think I can get that done for less than
$150, and the frame is just 3 main tubes straight gauge 531 with stamped
dropouts so it really isn't anything special. I have been thinking that
finding a decent double butted frameset that has good paint and no downtube
shifter bosses might very well be cheaper than finishing this one up
nicely. I would prefer not to have the full housing rear brake cable
braze-ons on the top tube, but I could run a rear brake if they are
there. Anybody have something like this that could be had for a reasonable
price?
Thanks, Doug
P.S. Oh, I need about 55cm square, C-T. I could probably go from about 54
C-T to 56 C-T ideally with a 55 - 56 cm top tube...

Toronto: Bikes stolen in 3 months
Wuzzat a Danforth Avenue store that sold stickers saying, "STOLEN
BIKES=BAD KARMA" in 5 sizes no less!
Queried the sales staff. They said in that part of Toronto, bicycles
are stolen within 3 months.
Dropped into a busy bike shop on Danforth (open after 6PM!) that sold
huge chains/locks -- looked heavier than my SP007.
Bought a "Super Stocks Lock", the most expensive U-lock at MEC.
Anybody know if this is any good? It claims to be freeze-proof as
well.
My first time posting so here goes...
7 speed D/A downtube shifters with 12/26 cogs and rear derr. Very
good-to-excellent condition. Friction and index modes. Converted to
STI for girlfriend's bike so now I have this set sitting around.
Asking $65 includes shipping in continental US. email Ed at
eman1063@.... Cheers and happy riding.
Hi Bike People:
I have a few more NOS Regina Oros, BXs. Boxes included.
Gold Extra Synchros model in red and gold boxes -- splined removal
system.
All ISO threaded!
ALL SIX SPEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. 13-18 $31
2. 14-19 $31
3. 13-23 $36
(limited supplies)
Shipping is $4 per item.
Cheers, Mark
Some miscellaneous stuff for sale or trade. Prices do not include shipping and

Please respond off list if you're interested:
M-Bars, w/26 mm clamp, lightly used $35
54 cm frameset w/fork from a 1992 Bridgestone RB-2 that's in good condition. It
has some cosmetic paint damage from my bike rack. The threaded headset, fork
and seat post are included. $100
60 cm frameset w/fork from a 1985 Bridgestone 400 that's in good condition
(though too large for me). $50
27 in wheelset from B-Stone 400 above. Araya rims/Sunshine hubs, new tires/tubes
$50
Stuff I'm looking for and would be willing to trade for:
Nitto Dirt Drop or Randonneur handlebars.

700c front wheel w/hub generator in working condition.
700c rear wheel w/flip flop hub for single speed trial.

How many different models of long-cage rear derailleurs did Campy
make?
I'm aware of four -- (1) Gran Turismo, (2) old Rally, (3) new Rally,
and (4) Racing Triple. Any others? Thanks for your help!
Here are a few more:
"LX" (Victory/Triomphe level) in the late '80s
Athena and Xenon around '89/'90
and a few different models of mountain bike long cage RDs:
Themis, Olympus, Centaur, Euclid, and MTB tandem (though, you'd be
hard-pressed to tell the difference among these last three -- if they
were, in fact, different) around 1990
and slightly later MTBs:
Centaur, Icarus, and "Record O.R." in the early '90s (the first two
through the 1993 model year; 1994 model year was the last for Record
O.R.)

Do You Yahoo!?
Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo! Auctions!
http://auctions.yahoo.com
Folks,
I responded to the ad below (while in search of a bike for my daughter), but
I'm afraid the 19" will be too small for a growing 13-year-old (and I don't
really need the 24" as I have a '85 Trek 720 already). These seem like a
good deal (a 21" '85 Trek 620 just sold on eBay for $275). The bikes have
about 1,600 miles on them and the panniers are mostly unused. Both bikes
have the front lowrider racks and the cranks are the Shimano EX BioPace
models as show on the 520 in the '86 catalog. The owners sent large color
copies of photos of the bikes and panniers (one set grey Cannondale Switcher
panniers (front/rear) and bar bag, one set with large Overland rear panniers
and rack trunk (w/insulated main compartment and four smaller compartments)
with Switcher front panniers and bar bag). The photos were a little grainy
from the enlargement, but the bikes look to be in great shape. Wish I had
extra money and space as I would probably buy both bikes. I'm experiencing
scanner problems, so I cannot post the photos for you. See the ad below for
contact info.
Best of Luck,
Bob Hufford
