Size is 58cm. Serial number is 58TS1 or 58T81. For rider about 6' tall. Go to
vintage-trek.com and you can look under brochures to see the specs. Unlike the
original brochure, wheels are clinchers, not sew-ups. I am the original owner
and this bike has been well maintained.

I have an absoluetly stunning vinatge 70's Motobecane steel lug full 531
reynolds road bike. Measures 25" seat tube height or 63.5cm. Great for the
taller rider, like someone 6-1 to 6-5 I'd say. Loaded with campy shifter and
derailers. This has newer tires. Frame belongs hanging on a wall. First $350
cash. 402-560-8213

Vintage 1984 Motobecane Le Champion - $395

Reply to: see below
Date: 2009-06-30, 8:14AM CDT

This is a early to mid 1980's Motobecane Le Champion bicycle with a 50cm (c to
c) frame, would fit most riders in the 5' 6" to 5' 8" range. I can't tell the
exact year of the bike, it looks very similar to a photo of a 1984 Le Champion I
found on line but the decals are slightly different. The serial number on the
bottom bracket is 03 4346/1, so if anyone knows how to look up the production
date from the serial number, let me know. The Le Champion was a high end
production model in the Motobecane line, based on the flagship Team Champion
racing bike produced for the factory racing team. The frame is constructed from
Columbus SL tubing using the "inexternal brasing" lugless welding technique
found o.n high end frames of the time. The original paint has the expected chips
and minor scratches, but there is not rust or dents, frame appears straight,
never wrecked. At some point the original Campy components were replaced with
Suntour Superbe Pro brakes, shifters, deraileures and a Shamano 500 crank with
Biopace chainrings. It has a set of Ambroso 19 Super Elite wheels with Campy
hubs and Continental Ultra Race 700X23 tires. The fork is chrome plated with
"Tange" stamped on the wheel lugs. Everything on the bike is in pretty good
working order, the steel frame has a great road feel and is very responsive but
I have too many bikes and need to find a new home for this one. I'll include the
seat wedge with a set of tire tools, fold up bike tool kit, spare tube. I also
have some spare parts that I bought for the bike that go with it. Asking $395,
reasonable offers will be considered. If you have any question email me or call
512 788 3069, no calls after 9PM please.

Vintage Austro Daimler-Dura Ace - $280 (Oak Cliff)

Date: 2009-06-27, 11:34AM CDT

One of the gretest vintage racers ever. An Austro Daimler from Austria. Reynolds
531 frame & fork, Shimano Dura Ace components, Ambrosio 700 tubular rims. Tires
are toasted. SO... I will sell the frame only for $180 w/ BB, seat post and
bars. If you prefer the entire bike that would be great. Keep in mind that the
tires preclude riding it but for sure you could size it. Components-all Dura Ace
except the rear deraileur which is a Shimano Crane. Chain rings & cranks are
Dura Ace drilled for lightness. Original paint & decals are very good. No rust
anywhere, no dents or major scratches. Note the leater bar wrap, the Concor
leather seat and the total absence of brazeons, Bocama lined lugs. Small frame..
52cm seat tube, 58cm top tube and 30.5 inch standover. Fred 214 728 1365

Believe it or not I bought this beautiful 1974 Teledyne Titan not from a bike
shop but from an antique store. To bring this beauty up to speed, I put on all
new tires, tubes, cable housing, cables, and bar tape and had the hub overhauled
and front wheel rebuilt by City Bikes with a spankin'-new Sun rim. I even
printed out Teledyne stickers to make this as snazzy as it was in the summer of
'74. I really wanted to make this my main ride but, alas, I just could not get
used to riding a 60 cm. frame (center to center) so it's just languishing in the
corner of my bedroom.

The Titans were designed and hand-built by an elite racer named Barry Harvey
working alongside a team of the nation's top aerospace engineers. Fewer than
2,000 of these bikes were ever built, and I doubt many of them are still around
today, let alone in amazingly great shape. The ride is super comfortable yet
responsive at only 21 lbs. More specs to keep you drooling below:

* Almost all original Campy parts including the seat post, cranks, hi-flange
hubs, shifters, and front and rear derailleurs ( I have been told that the rear
derailleur is very rare and highly sought after on it's own, but I can't bear to
take it off)
* Gali brakes with Campy levers
* TTT bar and stem
* Suntour superb pro petals
* Shimano headset (newer so must have been replaced)
* 27x1 1/4 rims...Italian Ambrosio rear, new Sun rim front
* New Seca tires and tubes
* Classy and comfy Italian suede seat

Get in touch anytime if you want to take a look or take it out for a spin!

Brand new, never built up Toyo made Atlantis frame and fork with Shimano Ultegra
headset. I am a Rivendell dealer and I bought these frames before Riv's price
increases. I have a 54.5 and a 53 still in stock. Rivendell does not wholesale
these anymore and I am trying to sell my stock in order to build more
Hillbornes. Reply here or call 208-336-5229

This is a very nice early edition Rivendell bike built by Waterford - a do
anything bike with 26" wheels. Comes as shown including the Brooks. The frame is
made of Reynolds 753 Tubing. It has eyelets and clearance for fenders and racks.
Excellent shape with recent work and includes a second wheelset with new Ritchey
Tom Slick tires. 53 seat tube with a 31 inch or so standover. $1800

I'm selling my 1992 Bridgestone RB-1, one of the best Japanese racing bikes of
its day. Seat tube is 53cm, top tube is 54.5cm. The frame is made of quad-butted
Ishiwata steel and is straight, no dents, with only minor cosmetic paint loss. I
had the rear dropouts respaced at a bike shop to accommodate a 9 speed rear hub.
Parts are mostly new, including Ultegra/Mavic 9 speed wheels, 105 9 speed
cranks, brakes, and cassette, really nice Nitto bars and stem, Dura Ace
seatpost, and Brooks B17 saddle. The bike rides like a dream - however, I'm more
interested in touring and just got a touring bike and I can't keep them both!

$850/OBO. Send an email if you want to see bigger versions of these pictures or
want a complete parts list. Come take it for a test ride! Thanks.

Not mine. Pix on link. Fuji always gave you more bang for the buck than other
manufacturers. This is their mid-80's entry into the touring market,
overshadowed by Specialized's Expedition, Miyata's 1000 and Trek's iconic 720.

62 cm frame, appropriate for someone around 6'0'-6'6". This is a fantastic steel
frame bike from Grant Peterson's (now of Rivendell) old outfit. Petersen is
famous in the cycling community as an opponent of trends towards more
complicated designs and the prioritisation of speed, light weight and
racing-lead fashion over tradition, comfort and durability, and this bike was
built up in that spirit (but can still be plenty speedy when needed).

I bought this bike four years ago from the original owner, who had it built up
for him by Aaron's in West Seattle. He had taken great care of it when he had
it, and I've treated it like my baby for the past few years -- I don't think
this bike has ever even spent a night out in the rain. I've totally overhauled
it and rebuilt it with quality parts.

Some components I've upgraded:

Nitto Stem
Mustache handlebars
New bar tape
New cables and housing
New Avocet touring saddle
105 brake levers
NGC 500 brakes
Touring wheelset from an older Trek 520

The paint job has some slight wear, but is in great shape for it's age. The
frame itself is in perfect shape, no dents or dings or anything like that.

i beg to differ your statement of 'overshadowing' miyata and specialized...

just sayin

(seriously? valite tubing over miyata's? just look at where the seat stays
meet the frame and compare to an expedition, sequoia, 1000...)
