Bianchi Sport SX 58cm 12speed - $75

This is a fairly nice, C+ bike, which I am selling for a friend who moved to
Costa Rica. I'm not sure of the age, but I'd guess this bike was made in the
early 90's or late 80's. It's a nice all around touring bike if you don't mind
the shifters on the downtube. It rides straight and even, and the wheels are
surprisingly true. It's clear this bike has been taken care of. The best
feature of this bike is definitely the fact that it's a solid Bianchi Cro-Moly
frame, with no dents and no wipeouts in it's past. It's burgundy in color, with
a few minor nicks that are normal in wear and tear. It would make a nice around-
town or daytrip bike, or a rain bike if you're a more serious rider. Could also
upgrade easily. I am just outside of Concord, NH, and can travel as far south
as Nashua to meet up halfway if you'd like to see it. I can be contacted at

Track Bicycle - 55cm Geoffrey Butler with vintage Campy wheels - $425
(cupertino)
Reply to: anon-38226442@...
Date: 2004-08-02, 9:18PM PDT
Complete track bike assembled with miscellaneous Italian components (see
below). Frame was built around 1973 by Geoffrey Butler in Croydon, England,
probably using Reynolds tubing. The bike is equipped with a cool set of tied
and soldered wheels on very smooth running Campy high flange hubs. The frame
and original fork are stiff and quick handling for sprint. At present, the bike
is set up with a Tange fork. The Tange has slightly more rake and slower
steering which was more suitable for San Jose velodrome. Both forks will be
sold withthe bike and each assemble onto the bike well. The frame and both
forks are straight and the bike rides true. Paint and decals are OK, not great.
Geoffrey Butler track frameset & fork
Assembled with Tange fork
55cm ctc seat tube x 56 ctc top tube.
Campagnolo High Flange 36 spoke hubs, lock ring
700c Mavic tubular rims, Vittoria tubular tires
Campagnolo 27.2 seatpost
Cinelli alumimum bars with 11cm stem.
Gipemme Dual-Sprint 165mm track cranks & BB
Gipemme track pedals, medium toe clips, straps
Extra rear cogs, and front chain rings for 82 to 95 inches
Front brake
Non-descript saddle

VINTAGE 80'S RACING BIKES - $1100

Hi, I collect bikes, and am selling two.
1987 Ciocc, Croce D'Aune and C Record Campagnolo, 57 cm, $1,100
1985 Team Issue Olmo, Fully pantographed Campy Super Record, 57 cm, $1,400
I don't have space for them! I also have a late 80's Colnago Carbon time trial
frame, and a 2002 Ciocc Aluminum frame.
Call me with questions, 617-306-3232. Thanks, David (biking guy from 80's) May
the wind be mostly at your back.
I had a Radac back in 1990 or so. Atleast thats what I was told it was.
It was supposedly a PDM team bike for the mountains. It had Concorde and
PDM stickers on it. It was real light and yes a bit flexy. But, it was
very comfortable.. Unless youre a sprinter I would say the ride would be
good. A very smooth riding bike and light too.

$500 is still a lot for this bike. Look for Treks or Vitus/Bador
frames, which are abundant, if you want a bonded AL frame. You can
get good examples of each for ~$300, fully built with decent components.
On the other hand, if you really like Bridgestones and really want the
Radac, go for it. It is a fine bike which should give you years of
comfy pleasure.
Yours,
Forbes

Bridgestone XO-1 Bike Small frame Needs Lots of TLC
Reply to: anon-38166308@...
Date: 2004-08-02, 11:11AM PDT
I'm taking offers on this rare bike. was sitting in a basement for a long time.
there are rust spots in places on the frame, but nothing more than surface.
some of the components are salvageable, and some will need to be replaced. this
is a project bike. really hard to find these frames. not certain of the size,
but it's small- probably @ 50cm.
after some agonizing i am going to offer 500-it is a beautiful bike
but i am unsure of its history, so its either the radac or a new
trek. i guess can't go wrong either way. again, thanks for the
opinions.
I have a Bridgestone Radac, been riding it hard for more than ten years now.
It came with a full 600 Ultegra groupo (downtube shifters), Campy Omega rims
(a little heavy but indestructible), came with an Avocet Racing saddle
(great saddle) and nice Nitto bars ( held on with a Ritchey Force cro-mo
stem which I lost a while ago like an idiot) with a real drop instead of
those stupid ergonomic bars.
It's a great bike that is an oft-overlooked classic road racer. The angles
are a little more slack than the RB 1 and the wheel base is quite long, and
because it is a smaller diameter (but fatter than a Vitus) aluminum tubed
bike it is quite flexy, but that adds greatly to the comfort of the ride.
I've raced it, dogged it on the streets and use it for long rides for more
than ten years, so I think the durability issue is moot.
Mine has a Regal Saddle, some light Scott Drop LF bars, a 3ttt stem and I
relaced the wheels with Open 4CDs with a fancy lacing pattern, but other
than those changes and some pimpin' blue chairing bolts the bike is stock.
I think it retailed for close to 1500 dollars. I would buy it if you want a
comfortable, light and fast long haul bike. If you want a twitchy, stiff
crit bike this is not for you at all. 650 is not bad. Offer 500.

I agree. Too expensive for a bonded AL frame, which has never proven to
be a great rider.
As DL so wisely states, If it had all 9 speed campy record or DA, then
maybe worth it.

Its real name is Radac. I think its an acronym but cant remember what it
stands for. $650 sounds a bit steep in my opinion, unless its got some
really nice parts.

Classic road bike. This swedish-made frame is beautifully hand-lugged,
incredibly light and responsive. Built from Reynolds 531 steel and double-
butted throughout (meaning the tubes and stays are thicker at the ends than in
the middle), the frame was custom stripped & painted at R&E cycles in Seattle
(matching painted pump as well) and all professionally assembled. Frame is
about 64cm, fits riders approx. 6'2 to 6'5" (I'm 6'4").
Dura-Ace components including hubs, index shifters, crank arms, bottom bracket,
headset. LaPrade alloy seat post, Look clipless pedals. Anodized aero-style
rims.
Ridden only about 50 miles, never crashed. Carefully stored. Will need new
tires due to aging in storage I think. I don't ride anymore and would like this
bike to get some use again. I put in well over $2000 to build this bike. Asking

Really nice Schwinn Super Sport, mid-eighties lugged and butted Japanese road
bike. Metallic grey with light blue accents. 58 cm center to center with 84cm
(33") stand-over. Set up with alloy tourist (3-speed) style bars with SunTour

are freshly build with vintage Campy low flange hubs and new M13-II rims,
virtually new Pasela tires (700c, of course). Suntour Superbe derailluers.
Cranks (double) came off a mid-eighties Spec Allez and have that classic road
look. Alloy pedals. 10 speeds for simplicity. This bike is set up as a fast
