Rivendell Rambouillet, 60cm, orange frameset - $800 (berkeley)

This is one of the original orange Rambouillets. What I am selling is the
frame, fork, 105 headset, set of Tektro long reach brakes with Kool Stop brake
pads. The frameset is in great condition with just a couple of small nicks on
the drive side chain stay near the bb and a couple of touched up scratches on
the underside of the bb.

This has always had a chainstay protector and clear plastic at the rub points
on the headtube.

A new frameset retails for around $1400 and the orange ones are particularly
nice to look at.

Pick up in Berkeley preferred.

Will pack and ship for an extra $50.

nasty paint chip at the top of the seat-tube (as pictured), but have original
touch-up paint from BJ.

Built by Miyata for Specialized as a full blown touring bike. Chrome Molybedeum
lugged steel frame with an investment cast Hayden fork crown. The seat tube and
top tubes are is 55cm c-c. Grey, decals have been removed. The frame has rear
rack mounts and lugs for a fork mounted low rider rack. Internal wiring for a
lighting system and 3 sets of water bottle cage bosses cages included. Shimano
cantilevers, Specialized h/s, Nitto bar & stem, Sugino AT triple crankset
48/44/28T. 7sp cassette rear wheel with indexed 7speed shifting. Continental
TopTouring tires 700-28C/32C. Good condition but could use new brake hoods.

This one is mine, and before it goes onto CraigsList, iBOB et al, I thought I'd
offer it to the board first.

2004/5 59cm red Bruce Gordon Rock 'n Road Tour ( his largest frame size ).
Serial # R 31950. A few decal scratches, but all else is intact: no dents,
nicks, unauthorized bends, etc.

Equipment is as follows: Nitto bars, XT componentry ( canti's, headset, 175
crankset 22-32-44, HG 12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32 cassette, sealed cartridge bottom
bracket, 36 spokes fr & rr, wiiide bear trap pedals ), Tom Ritchey stem, Avocet
Cross 700 x 38 K(evlar) tires, Liberator anatomic saddle, and front and rear
Bruce Gordon racks ( close to $300 just for these ), three Blackburn water
bottle cages, Zefal mini-pump.

Riding this bike is like geting reacquainted with an old friend: it immediately
feels comfortable. And comfortable all day long. The Man thought this one out!

No long tours on the bike, but about 1,000 miles from day rides.

Too many tourers in "the fleet" with not enough years left to do all the tours
the bicycles are calling out for, so this one goes up for sale.

Small thumbnail photo is a photo of the actual bike. The larger one below that
was lifted from BG's website, but is identical to my bike except for the
toeclips and straps and white handlebar tape ( sorry, but I'm a dope when it
comes to these photo-cropping programs. Be thankful the thumbnail ain't the size
of the Sistine Chapel... ).

be $2,998 )
