UPDATE 2: OH MY GOODNESS, I didn't think I have so dern many bikes!!! There are
now 164 listed at the bottom of the posting. I'm getting a bit overwhelmed by
the crummy system I set up in the original ad. I'm going to make myself
available between 4pm and 7pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You may email
with up to 5 bikes you're interested in and I will send you my address and
attempt to have them segregated out so you can come look at them. I will also
respond with price. The quality and condition of the bike will determine the
price, but I do want to move these so I'm going to price them aggressively.

Keep in mind the following things. While I want to sell these bikes, I'm not a
bike store and offer no warranties, guarantees or anything like that. I'll take
your money, give you a receipt and send you on your way. If you don't have an
idea what you want, then I'm not the place to shop for a bike. If you don't
have any idea of bike mechanics, or can't shanghai a friend that does to help
you, then I'm not the place to shop for a bike. My time is valuable, your time
is valuable and there's only so much daylight--let's use our time and daylight
wisely to each other's benefit (aka: Please try to not waste my time and I'll
try to not waste your time)

Got cash, time and space to burn? Buy the whole lot for $2600. If you buy the
whole lot I'll throw in a very expensive campy equipped Cannondale road bike.
I'll even haul it all to your place. Think, that's under $16 each!

Some people collect coins, some people collect ceramics, some people collect
spoons, etc...... Almost like the cat-obsessed old ladies sometimes mentioned
in the paper, I have collected bikes. No, not exotic Italian rides with a Giro
D'Italia provenance but more pedestrian rides.

The vast majority are good bike store brands, Specialized, Trek, Schwinn (older
Schwinn), Nishiki, Raleigh, etc....

Here's the good part. They're all for sale at reasonable (near fire sale
prices!) Most will be betwen $30 and $60. A few will be less and a few will be
more. Here's the not-so-good part. Most need some TLC. The most common issue is
tires but most suffer from various minor maladies. It had been my intent to fix
them up and sell them and finance my retirement in the islands but my
temperament isn't just going to make it happen anytime soon. This is a great
opportunity to get a good bike at a good price, especially if you can do the
work yourself. Oh, it's my opinion that if you're going to pay some snooty bike
shop to do the work then perhaps you should take your hard earned money and
look elsewhere.

My somewhat curmudgeonly (look it up!) temperament also will not tolerate
rooting around in the mess and window shopping. You're going to have to email
me with what interests you from the list and I will email you back to set up a
time to check them out. I prefer email instead of telephone tag and I am
available most afternoons and evenings. You're going to have to find a way to
my place as I'm not dragging bikes around the metro area for fickle buyers.
