I have a conflict with a party for children in foster care tonight and
am unable to attend the party.  Would someone please pass the hat.  Even
a dollar or two multiplied times the folks in attendence can add up
toward the bicycle we are purchasing for the 17 year old boy who listed
a bike as his only wish.

I will be at the parade tomorrow morning and perhaps those who aren't
there tonight may be able to contribute in the morning.

For whoever arrives at the parade line up first, we are number 78 so
find #77 and assemble behind them.  See you there!

I was told that is is best to send it to OBC.  It is not a real tag yet and as
the law reads you have to be a part of OBC to get one.

What: 2004 Norman Christmas Parade
When: December 11, Saturday, meet at 9:00 AM, start at 10:00 AM
Where: East parking of Norman High School
Theme: Cinema Event, BLN's is American Flyers

Show up with your bike and we will serpentine as usual (it's fun and
easy).  Most everyone rides his or her mountain bike (but I did ride
my road bike one year).  You can bring candy to throw it out to the
kids.  Mr. Bill Brollier usually leads us, but he has been MIA lately.

The weather forecast for Saturday @ 9:00 AM is 42 with winds WSW @ 8
MPH with a high for the day of 66.

BLN members,

As I mentioned before, I adopted the gift request from a 17 year old
boy who wants a bike with the hopes that BLN folks would chip in
together and help get something.  My guess is he only needs a
neighborhood bike that may be in danger of being stolen (depending on
his home situation).  Someone is checking to get his inseam measure to
determine an appropriate height.

Anyone out there willing to chip in a little?  We should also get a
helmet.

"Share the Road license plate", you needed to be a
member of OBS.  Actually, it's OBC, not OBS.  I've

20th.  The cost is the $8 OBS membership plus the cost of the plate.

The Norman City site calender http://www.ci.norman.ok.us/Calendar/default.htm
has the the date and time as Sat. Dec. 11th at 9am. For some reason the date is
listed as "tentative".
Are you coming home for the holidays? Boston will probably be nice also but
"theres no place like home" and we'd enjoy seeing you.

Here at Moore Norman Technology Center there is a "Giving Tree" with
children of our students' gift wishes.  These parents are living a
limited means while attending school, so Christmas is difficult with
families.  The children are asked to list three suggested items and
those who adopt that child may choose one or more of the items to give.
Last year several of you individually helped out and your care was
greatly appreciated.

Just now I was looking at the wishes still left on the tree and noticed
that a 17 year old boy had listed a 26" men's bike as his only wish.
That one caught my eye and I wondered if several of us could go together
to get that one item (plus a helmet).  I'm sure he just wants a
neighborhood type bike, but the cost is still too much for me alone.  I
thought it might be appropriate from a BLN group.  Anyone willing to
chip in?  Do we have a ride T-shirt left to put with it?

I will not be at school this afternoon, but if you reply I will see it
Monday and get back with you.

It is time to break out the check books. We have to pre sale 100
licence plate by 12/28/04 before the state will do anything with
this. If we dont get it done now it will be a long time if ever
before it comes up again.  We are about half way to the 100 we have
