Plans have come together for a founding hash of the
Hellions of Odessa Texas Hash House Harriers.

6:00 PM, Buffalo Wild Wings in Odessa, 10/21/2006 on
the covered patio area.

Cost: $0. I'm buying a keg for a very extended beer
check beer and the shot check shots, as well as
down-down beer for circle inside the bar (in the back
room so the kids can't hear what we're singin').
Other beer during circle can be bought at the bar, of
course.

Trail: A-A, with shortish legs but an eagle trail
option for serious r*nners. Also a walker's trail
shortcut.

Bring: Dry bag and a flashlight, just in case, but the
trail is pretty well street-lit around most of this
area. We don't have hills to run or water to cross
here, this will be an urban-shiggy trail...but I'll
try to make it interesting.

Hotels: There's a significant group of San Antonio
hashers making the Saturday road trip up for this.
They appear to be staying at the Comfort Suites. I
stayed there, the rooms are large, it's not a bad
hotel and it's 1.3 miles from the bar so the group
could in theory walk there (and meet me at my house
halfway).

Future hashes will probably usually end at someone's
house and follow a more normal schedule of operations
with $5 hash cash and cheap beer, but I'm using free
beer to bring locals to the hash so it doesn't flop
right after being founded. That also means we may
have a very large crowd of virgins, and no hashers in
town to just put you up (but I could work on finding
space for one or two of you if that's the only thing
keepin' you away). Hopefully it won't be too bad with
groups in hotel rooms. I do appreciate you guys
coming all the way in if you do, as long as we have
some people who know the songs and keep the virgins
from getting lost.
