There are lots of things you don't know about import goods from CHINA.
Their citizens were brought up to hate the people of the free world.
Since after WW2 and the excile of Gen. Chiang K. S. about half a century ago, China's children were conditioned to hate and eliminate democracy and the people who believe in it especially USA and the Europeans.
These are the same children (most have grown) who are now making the goods that we are buying for our personal use and consumption.
Knowing what they have been conditioned to do, what do you think they will do to win their cause as they manufacture the goods for export? And you want to go there, eat the food for 2 weeks while watching the Olympic games? No sireee, not I. It will take at least 20 years before they can turn around their citizens to think like the citizens of the free world. I do not buy food and canned goods from China anymore since the expose' on their contaminated food. And as much as possible, I don't buy their dry goods, including clothings if there are selections available.
They may turn around sometime in the future, but I do not think it will happen in this lifetime.
