The Bay Area Whaleboat Rowing Association. See you on the water!

BAWRA is an association of whaleboat clubs. Its purpose is to:
• Develop and coordinate rowing teams and sponsors of races
• Be a clearinghouse for all aspects of information including equipment and maintenance
• Provide extra rowers to club teams
• Act as a public relations vehicle to promote the sport of whaleboat rowing in San Francisco Bay
• Provide for standardization of equipment and rules for certified races
• Promote the historical aspects of rowing
• Provide information to interested individuals and groups regarding whaleboat rowing as a recreational sports activity


This Yahoo group is used by:

1. Club representatives to send and receive administrative messages between the clubs such as race packets, meeting notices, etc. The site also contains files relating to cox certification, insurance, race entry forms, etc.

2. Individuals who want to join a club and row and/or follow BAWRA activities.
