Patrick's Day 2003....Saint Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland that brought
Christianity to the Emerald Isles....He also chased all the snakes out of
Ireland....They all went to France ..... ~ This Day in 1945...St Patrick's
Day...... ~ From "Big League Dreams"...This is my annual St Patrick's Day
baseball story....While in Auburn,New York I became a member of the John F
Kennedy Division 1 Ancient Order of Hibernians.....While I am not Irish or
Catholic...Which is in the rules...OK they liked me....Anyway this is a big day
in Auburn...As I speak probably a third of the population has already started
the celebration...Anyway St Patrick's Day 1990....The club is full of alot of
drunk loud Irish folk...One of my friends played a little joke on me..He said
"John, What do you think of Margaret Thatcher - UK Prime Minister"...In my
loudest voice I said "I think she is wonderful"....200 very loud and drunk Irish
people became 200 very quiet drunk Irish people..You could hear a pin drop...All
eyes on me...I didn't know that the AOH was not in support of the British
Government and wanted total freedom from England for Northern

sad song "Danny Boy" written by Englisman Fred Weatherley in 1910...."Oh Danny
Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling. From glen to glen, and down the mountain
side.The Summer's gone , and the flowers are dying..Tis You, Tis You must go and
I must bide......That's the St Patty's Field of Dreams..Stay Brave my fellow
Americans...Pray for our troops and Let's Roll!!!
