Subscriptions SECOND HALF OPENS WITH TIGHT WILD CARD RACE


The Astros hope to see All-Star Brad Lidge closing out a lot of games this
second half.The Houston Astros open the second half of the season Friday in St.
Louis to begin a 10-game road trip. The 'stros will no doubt be excited to
return home, where they boast the NL's second-best home record at 30-14. Tickets
are available for all 37 remaining Astros home games at Minute Maid Park. Be
there for the all the exciting action as the Astros drive towards the post
season behind Biggio, Clemens, Ensberg, Lidge, Oswalt and Pettitte.

Since falling 15 games under .500 at 15-30 on May 24, the Astros are tied with
Washington for the Majors' best record at 28-13 (.683). Since July 17, Houston
leads the Majors with a 17-5 record. Houston is currently second in the NL
Central and third in the NL Wild Card Race, five games behind the Atlanta
