Yeah, although Zaun *might* make a better starter.
There are battles at two positions, short and third.
If Everett wins at short, Lugo obviously goes to the
bench (since he can play multiple positions). However,
if Lugo wings (that is, Everett falls flat on his
face), I don't think Everett will be kept on the major
league roster where he will have zero chance to
improve.
For third, I think the Ensberg/Truby loser goes to the
minors (is Truby out of options? he might be on his
last).
Ginter has a remote shot to be the last position
player on the bench. He can play 2B, 3B, RF and LF,
which makes him somewhat useful. OTOH, there are
rumors that Zaun may see a lot of action as pinch
hitter, so a third catcher may need to be carried.
