Like everyone else, especially those of us who have seem him blossom into arguably the best Astro player ever, I dread seeing Baggie's tenure end with hostility and "he said, they said" finger pointing. It does seem that Lance is headed for more or less permanent duty at 1B, as the arrival of Preston Wilson creates a bit of crowding in the OF. It's impossible to justify paying Jeff the money that his experience and status demand to be strictly a pinch hitter. I guess the best scenario would be for him to hang 'em up, but I doubt that his competitive zeal will allow that to happen. Let's just hope things don't get too ugly. Ken in Austin
