Short term you lose Dotel who was, to me, as big a question mark as
the current bullpen will now be. With Beltran, you get a guy who stole
41 bases, the best legs in center field, a power bat, hits for average,
and an arm like Hidalgo. I'm not sure how we really are hurt short
term by this.

I'd rather make a move like this and fail, then make no move and
stagger along like we have been.
