As a local runner for charities for the past 7 years, I was
wondering what would be necessary to setup an event to raise
money for Trooper Blanten's family. There is a large running
community in the western NC area that I have noticed, and most races I
have attended range is size from 500 runners to close to 2000
runners. The average entry fee is 25.00 and I think that a
Race in the Honor of Trooper Blanten and future troopers who
may loose there lives in the line of duty would raise
several hundred dollars in a single event and I wish to have
the first event in NC in the honor of Fallon troopers of NC.

I am a member of the Asheville Track Club and I feel confident that
the organization could setup this event.
