Mainly because the lawyers didn't' want it to. Also, the Prosecuting
Attorneys Assoc. REALLY didn't want it to pass. They had a couple of P.A.
there that really stretched the envelope on what would happen if it passed.
There were several sessions in the Committee about this.

We got curtilage, which is your yard (IF there is a fence around it) and
your porch. The ASP did NOT have a problem with this "castle doctrine".
