I too am a fan of the Llama Max-1 as I bought one the first year they came
out with them in 1995. Since then I have shot about 1500 rounds through it
with 100% reliability with any brand of full metal jacket or Remington and
Winchester hollow points. Lead bullets or hollow points with a lot of
exposed lead on the mouth of the hollow point don't feed reliably in my
pistol. While not a match pistol it is accurate enough to knock down 8"
steel plates at 50 yards every time. It is a all steel pistol with the
balance and feel of a 1911 for very little money.
Quite a lot of 1911 parts are compatible with the Llama.
