Well I took my pistols out yesterday... First let me say that my
Llama Max 1 is pretty damn impressive for a sub $200 45. I can
easily keep everything in the black with it... In fact one of the
old-timers came over to ask me what I was feeding it... (8.3gr of AA
#5 over a Ranier 200 gr CPFP) I put 17 out of 21 rounds in the 10
ring at 15 yards. My only complaints are the lack of compatibility
with other 1911-like pistols... and reliability. With a slightly
hotter load the gun functions perfectly... but is less accurate.
with the more accurate load it jams frequently.
Next my 2 carry guns: a Kel Tec P3AT and a S&W M49 bodyguard both
shot pretty well.. within 6" at 15 yards... well withing my minuite
of miscreant requirement for a carry gun... although I am thinking of
picking up a commander framed 1911 to replace both of them.
