I personally believe in my electronic ignition
and 55,000 volt coil. It works great. I have 5 in my
own tractors and have installed several for other
people. It`s a good, economical system that works.<br>

My dad and I pull a G JD and run an MSD ignition box from Denny's. I'm not
totally sold on the MSD the spark does not seem to be as strong as the magneto.
Anyone have any opinions?<br><br>Jeff
I'm not sure, but has anybody ever tried a
sprag<br>type over under drive (out of something like an Oliver
880) in anything of a different color.<br>I've often
wondered if it isn't one of the lightest weight, units
that could handle a reasonable horsepower, and it
isn't hydraulic operated. Any ideas or
experiences?<br>sam
This is a question a lot of people have asked in
the conversations that I have been in just this last
summer! This is only My observation that the Money that
you pay in member fees goes to moving the people
around from event to event? the hook fees go the the
event center rental($1500.00 daly) and other cost like
sled, scales, track work, motel rooms for unpayed help,
an so on. I hope this will help with your question.
masseymanj,<br><br>Hey I was wondering what size
is your friends motor? I'm toying with building a
44-6 this winter. Trying to figure out my best
options. I know there's 245 that came out of a pull behind
chopper that works. Thanks for any info in advance. Jim
The rims are priced like "other" aluminum rims:
$2000/set unpolished,$2250/set brushed aluminum, and
$2500/set polished! We hope to offer a VERY short lead time
to get a set (2-3 weeks max??) Thanks-Brad
I don't know about everyone else but I pay $50 to join this club to go to a pull
and pay $20 hook fees, to get a nill pay out. Where does all of this money go?
Just wanted to let everyone know there is now
available 34" aluminum rims for pullers using 34" tires.
NOW, you can get that extra weight loss advantage that
only 38" tire pullers have had! We are building 34"
and 38" aluminum rims, any width, offset, etc you need!
They come assembled, and are available in
unpolished, polished,or brushed aluminum. Possible delivery to winter
pulls. email bbegeman@... thanks,Brad

Just wanted to let everyone know that out at
Ogallala there were NO rules enforced in any divisions. I
pull in division 3 and I was never checked for
anything except for hitch and weight. There was no speed
limit enforced or rpm rules enforced. I saw several
tractors with 18.4-38 tires going second gear, full
throttle in my classes. We all know that in a majority of
the tractors this is over 3.5 mph even if you take in
account slippage. All in all I was very dissapointed with
the way that the pull was run. There were several
delays due to the laser measuring system along with a
30-45 minute late start. Looks like they need to clean
up there act.<br><br>RS
massey puller<br> My massey is a modified tractor
it has a chevy v-8 in it. I pulled at the dekalb
super pull last year with it and plan on going again
this year though i had to go to a smaller motor after
they changed the rules on me I do have a friend that
pulls a massey 44-6 in div 5. He changed the original
motor to a continental out of a gradall to increase his
cubes and had a cam made for the higher rpm's other
than the safety things i believe that is the only mods
he made other than working on the heads. i can get
more info if you are interested. masseymanj
Masseymanj - <br><br>Could you please tell me
more about your 444? Is it a division 4 or 5 puller?
How did you make it competitive? I currently pull div
3 with a 44 and do not understand how to make it
competitive in Div 4 or 5? Thanks for your assistance in
advace. Masseypuller.
hey all you pullers out there I was wondering if
anybody has converted there antique pullers rearend to a
full needle bearing rearend. I have heard that this
will unlock some free horsepower especially on the
ones that are turning more RPM's than stock such as
Div 4 and 5. I have a massey 444 that i pull in a
modified class and have never had the rearend apart and
was wondering how complicated it was to change all
those bearings. Also if anyone knows of a good source
to find out information such as part numbers and
such i would greatly appreciate it. By the way nice
new format and i hope this thing really takes off Its
about time we pullers had a place to hang out on the
web
Going to try to make acouple with the New M and
H, getting married on 01/06/00 ;hopefully after that
we can get things going in the right direction for
life and family and PULLING. darrell the pulling god

Looking foward to pulling with some of you guys
in Amarillo Tx. March 2&3 2001 I've just been to a
couple of pulles with My tractor. It is a div. 2 built
tractor (I hope) Allthough I'm looking for information
about parts to step it up to div. 3. Any information
will be helpful. David
