You've got the right idea Ernie. Get rid of that
exhaust lift manifold and set it aside. Before you
put that new or used manifold on, take a die grinder
to it and smooth up the insides. It'll flow a lot
better without those rough castings.

In regard to the Exhaust assisted lift attachment I've decided to
remove ,for the time being the complete Manifold with the diverter
valve still attached, I think the best plan is to get another blank
manifold to use while I'm pulling this Tractor and set up the other
manifold/lift for the time I decide just to show this A Any
comments on this gratefully excepted,.
Hey does any body get on our chat section to talk about pulling?
restoration? I'd love to chat ,if so get a message to me at my e-
mail about setting up a time and and we'll go for it ,,Ernie
Anyone have a U Moline junked out? I need 2 rods for either a 283A or
a KEF motor. Spun two bearings pulling last weekend and am having
trouble finding rods. Tim
Just picked up a 1946 Farmall A that I am going to set-up for
2,500 lb Class. This tractor had the exhaust powered lift on it ,The
chamber on the exhaust pipe is pretty rough,{ was run with no
gaskets for quiet a while,
Question is do I try to save this chamber for collectors value
or should I just wack it off with Die grinder?
I am to the point i have to sell my B farmall. If anyone is
interested in the dfw area email me directly and we can talk about
the condition of it.

I am running a little late, but I did want to thank all the pullers
that came out on the first day of deer season and help open the NATPA
pulling year in Columbia,MO. After we finally rest and recoop, we
know we really need to thank all that helped, pulled, played and had
a good time!! Folks, this is truly what pulling is all about,
anytime you are at a pull, if you have time or desire to offer to
help no matter what job you did, you were part of the reason for
SUCCESS!! Have a great holiday, hope santa brings all the spare
parts your old tractor might need for yet another pull!! Thanks
again, JR, Vicki, & Donnie

1946 Ford 9N Tractor serial #9N210855 located in west central WV.
Good running condition, was used a few days ago to bush hog. Good
body condition, no dents at all, blue paint on hood and fenders faded
with small areas of very light surface rust. Red paint on rest of
tractor has a few small areas of flaking, otherwise in good
condition. Transmission seems to be good/no problems. Pto works
good. Was barn kept by original owner until 2 years ago. Good tires
with no leaks. Has original hood, fenders, front grill & bumper
(brush guard), headlight assemblies, tool box, seat, steering wheel,
pto cap, radiator cap, etc, etc. Has light on fender pointing towards
the rear, has wiring but not hooked up. Comes with manual. 2 years
ago it had new brakes, new exhaust, new plugs, wires, distributor cap
and rotor button, radiator removed and flushed, gas tank removed and
cleaned. This year it's had a new battery, carb rebuilt, in-line
fuel filter installed and new coil. Faults: could use a new belt
though the one on it is working fine. The steering wheel could be
recovered but useable as is. Float sometimes sticks. We have hardly
used it in the past 2 years so we decided to sell. Selling as is due
to age but have described to the best of our abilities. Will sell for
$2200.00 or possibly trade for 12' stock type trailer. Please feel
free to email with any questions. See pictures at

1954 MM UB - NATPA legal, very competetive tractor has been top five
in NATPA points 2001-2002, didn't attend enough pulls to make it in
points this year, very nice paint job, electronic ignition, pulls
well in DIV III, holds its ground in DIV IV, comes with 1000+# worth
of suitcase weights, 3 sets of rear wheel weights, front-belly-rear
weight brackets.
Trailer goes with it or separate, 2000 PJ, double axle-heavy duty,
gooseneck, wooden deck, whole trailor in great shape, original tires
never been patched (the spare does have a plug in it), great trailer
only been used to haul MM to pulls, 95% of miles are highway miles.
Excellent brakes (much better than tractor's!), comes with two heavy
chains and two chain binders.
Can be delivered ASAP anywhere in United States.
$7500 for the whole package, must go as soon as possible.
Call (402)765-7257 only if seriously interested, ask for Jennifer or

Thanks

I called my grumpy old father and he said the same thing as I said last nite
when I answered you. Don't waste your time chasing to the parts store for
different springs.Put a piece of mechanics wire around the spring and just keep
tightening it until you reach your desired RPM's. And in answer to your question
no I haven't figured out who this is yet, but I'm hoping you won't keep me in
suspense. Thank you Paul.

I will check with a few of my contacts and get back to you about the rims. I was
also wondering if you would have any idea of where I could get a low low speed
first gear for an H or M. Thank you, Paul Benson.
