Can anyone tell me why NATPA would classify a 30 Cockshutt and a 77 Oliver in
Div. 3 ? That means the 30 is not allowed under 4000LBs. The 30 has a shipping
weight of 3250LBs, and is a 32 hp tractor. The 77 Oliver is allowed super 77
specs and is a 45.hp rating. Even the super 66 is rated 35 hp and can pull in
3500LBs, along with H - IH's , and WC Allis Chalmers. ( which can use D-17
engines leagelly!) What are they basing this rule on? It's not like you can buy
allot of high performance products for a 153 Buda engine. It seems to me that
one person had some luck with one last season and now they ban them? I guess
they only want hot B JD's and super C's and F-14's in the class. I was looking
forward to maybe hitting some of the winter pulls this year but I can't compete
in 4000LBs class with a 32hp tractor.
