The University of Andrew Broad
------------------------------
By virtue of the power to award degrees vested in it by the Charter
and Statutes, and by the authority of the Senate, the University has
this day awarded the Degree of
ETERNAL FANSHIP
to
Anna Chakvetadze
who has satisfied the Examiners for the Degree.
----------------------
Vow of Eternal Fanship
----------------------
I hereby induct Anna Chakvetadze into my Eternal Fanship.
From now on, and until the end of her career (or my life), I will
follow her with the same level of dedication as the nine players of
whom I'm already an Eternal Fan, to the maximum extent that my
personal circumstances and available resources will allow.
This vow is permanent and irrevocable, and I seal it with my Word of
Honour.
[Word of Honour: a promise that cannot be broken without disgrace]

My Website
----------
I have just opened the Anna Chakvetadze section of my personal
website:
http://geocities.com/andrewbroad/tennis/chakv/
Still under construction, it features:
* My Match-Reports: a point-by-point description of selected Anna-
matches that I've seen on TV.
* External links: every Anna-related web-page I know (and that I
think is appropriate to include).
Coming soon:
* My Anna Chakvetadze Biography: This will consist of a detailed
appreciation of Anna's tennis-qualities (and other attributes),
followed by a tournament-by-tournament review of each year. I will
upload the first edition at the very end of 2006, and update it only
at the end of each subsequent calendar-year.
* Matchography: the result of every match Anna has played that counts
towards the WTA Singles Rankings. Once the 2007 season gets underway,
I'll update it within 24 hours of every such match.
Match-Reports
-------------
Anna's third-round match at the French Open 2005 has been on the
Maria Sharapova section of my website for 18 months, and the Anna
Chakvetadze reports-section simply links to it.
But my Wimbledon 2006 match-report is a new extended version of the
one I posted here in July.
This is, in fact, the reason I have brought Anna's induction forward
to December: that I've written her Wimbledon-report, and needed to
open my Anna Chakvetadze section in order to upload it.
Anna passed her evaluation with flying colours: in fact it was
obvious from the first set of her first-round match against Dinara
Safina at Moscow that she is everything I look for in a player:
flairsome power, clean winners all over the court, and it doesn't
hurt that she is ultracute! ;-)
