FiNITE Possibilities in FLOW DRILL: The Formula

In case you think that when two persons are
competing in Flow Fighter drill, stick vs stick
a better person can produce a sequence just
out of nowhere, it is incorrect. Because anything
he produces still is another pattern covered
in the map of Serrada. So first try to master
all the possible patterns individually in full-beat
and then in advance methods later, before
going stick vs stick and announcing you are
better, etc.
OKay, here is the formula from Khalid Khan:
actually, it is taught to me by GM Angel
and these are exactly his words:

"After encountering any strike incoming
at you (from the 12 strikes that are in Serrada),
apply any of the block for that particular strike
(from the total repertoire of blocks for that
strike),
and after applying any block for any incoming
strike number, apply any of the 12 strikes
at the opponent (to throw your own attack at him)".

This then makes the full-beat Flow Drill
in which all strikes are coming full distance
have a FINITE number of patterns.

But now let's learn how to off=set it in
a competition:

OFFSET TECHNIQUES:

1. Do some techniques (strike attacks) half-beat
and change across center line or hi to Lo,
to offset the opponent.

2. Bring in your LEFT hand in some positions
to delay the counter that the opponent is
applying. The opponent in response can
treat it as a Lock & Block situation.
So you can actually have a Lock & Block INSIDE
a Flow Drill for some instances!
OR the opponent can use his own Left Hand
to get himself loose from your technique.

3. Pushing the opponent, or bringing in
a Kick at him right in middle of a block.
This is again a sudden Lock & Block situation
right in middle of a Flow Drill. If you do
your counters in double-double and take
your stick in Tapado manner to the ground
you will be able to crowd in his incoming
leg and hit his knee, etc.

regards,
Khalid
