JOB OPENING: Grandmaster of Serrada:

This is a "Civil" Service job.

Qualifications: Applicant must be thoroughly knowledgeable
in the technicals and the teaching of
the Cabales-Serrada system of Eskrima, as taught
by the Grandmaster Angel Cabales.

Additional Qualifications: This is a job which
is international in nature, meaning you must
be capable and willing to "oversea" local US and
international groups engaged in the practice of
the Serrada system of Eskrima. You may be required
to contact and communicate with people of
different cultures, including that of Europe,
Asia, Indian subcontinent, Africa, in addition
to those in north and south Americas, and
in the central America regions.

Language proficiency: you must have written
and spoken proficiency in the English language.
A essay test is required:
Please write a 300+ word essay each on
(i) the Design of the Fundamental Counter system of
the Cabales-Serrada Eskrima, why it is designed
in one manner for strike no. 1 and in another
manner for strike no. 2, etc.
and
(ii)the method of the Practice of the Lock & Block
drill.

Additional GENERAL KNOWLEDGE Required:
you must be able to understand
the following cultures: Asia-Pacific, Indian subcontinent,
Middle-Eastern, European, Spanish.
You must have general knowledge of Christian,
Muslim and Buddhist religions and cultural practices.
You must have some written and spoken knowledge
of German, Arabic, Hebrew, Bahasa Melayu/Indonesia,
Urdu/Hindi, Tagalog, Moro Filipino, languages.

As a Grandmaster of Serrada system you will be
required to do the following duties, usually
every 2 months:

1. Request activity report from all schools
locally in USA and from any place overseas.

2. Send technical training info/videos to
schools in remote international regions.

3. Convene a Conference for all guro's locally
in USA to meet and practice (review) the
art, specially in the first conference
the review of the counters against strikes 1 thru 12.

4. Allow all groups to teach their own students
and graduate them with their own certificates.
Inform them of general basic requirements for
the first certificate.

5. Acknowledge every guro's work in Serrada upto
now, and let them have their domain
in their own group.

6. Disallow student of any group to say bad things
about another group or its guro.

7. Enforce the name Cabales-Serrada to be
kept by all the different practicing groups,
so that the history of Angel Cabales' involvement
is kept and not lost.

DURATION OF THE POSITION: This may be a
permanent position.

Just my opinion, with ref to 3 above:
I dont think some guros will
be willing to review the strike counters
with other practitioners as
they may want to hide how they do them.
