Re: [Angels_Disciples] Training Left handed students?

Hi Tim.

For some reason, I got your E-mail. I am left handed, but learned right handed. Yes, it took me a little longer, but not too long, thanks to sinwalli double stick drills, you just become ambidexterous.

At present, I teach a small group and one of my students was, like me a lefty and he is doing fine. In addition, the sticks feel strange to any beginner, right or left handed (remember when!).

The end result that I have learned is that it wasn't hard for me to become a righty, as far as Eskrima goes. In fact, about a month ago, my daughter threw me a tennis ball and unthinking, I threw it back with my right hand! This was impossible before Eskrima training.

Chris

Darren, In the spirit of promoting discussion on the list... I had a question about training left handed students. Is it better to learn against a left hand...
