Re: Visit to Australia by Nittaidai
Hello all,
As you may know, 120 students from Nippon Sports Science University
(Nittaidai) will visit Australia for a series of Demonstrations and
Cultural Exchange practice sessions, in the traditional Japanese
arts of - Kendo, Judo, Karate, Shorinji-Kempo, Sumo, Aikido,
Naginata, Dentou-Geinou (arts of ethnic dance and Noh play).
The delegation will be led by Senseis Shizawa, Hakamada and
Yagisawa. There will be an additional 45 kendo students among the
delegation. The senseis and students will be looking forward keenly
to the opportunity to cross shinais with your members and the
opportunity to meet old and new kendo friends.
While here, they will be staging demonstrations of the above arts
and also participating in a goodwill cultural exchange by training
with exponents of the various arts in Australia. Details of the
demonstrations and the kendo training opportunities are below.
The attachment to this e-mail contains a .pdf file of flyers that
can be used to publicise the demonstration to your members and their
family and friends and another to promote the training opportunity
in Melbourne and Sydney.
Could States please distribute this information among their members
and also encourage support for the huge effort made by Nittaidai to
travel to Australia, by attending a demonstration and the keiko?
