For those of you who knew him, Ed Watkins, retired firefighter and yoga
teacher, died this week.

Ed, who sold up his house in Eastwood and moved to mangrove Mountain,
lived in a small cabin
on the hill overlooking the yoga Ashram there.

He was a student of the late John Gay sensei (AAA) and had taught
Tomiki-style Aikido at
Willoughby Park Centre, and later to Yoga students at the Mangrove
Mountain centre.

Ed and I both started learning Tomiki Aikido together way back in 1978.

Ed's funeral will be held at 10am this Tuesday, at the McKay Family
Funeral Home,
Pacific Highway at Palmdale, New South Wales. (Enquiries to: 02
