Africa has hundreds or thousands of excellent bodybuilders who never receive the public recognition they deserve.
This moderated group's purpose is to introduce and promote these unrecognized stars.
The 2009 Woody in Cote d'Ivoire has just been successfully completed. We're posting photos of the contestants in the photo section of this group.
Be patient. There are lots of photos to be posted. They will be on view bit by bit.
From Dec 2008 to Oct 2009, much of what you'll see here will be devoted to the bodybuilders of Ivory Coast, West Africa, where the ABBCI staged the 2008 championships in Nov 2008.
On parle le francais ici. Si vous voulez ecriver en francais, nous traduirons vos mots en Anglais pour que des autres puissent comprendre.
We encourage all African bodybuilders to post their photos here. The world needs to see you !
Guidelines for this group's content? This group is about AFRICAN bodybuilders. It is about the unknown, ignored, hard-working AFRICAN bodybuilders, who pay their hard work dues at the gym, or in their backyards, developing themselves without the advantages Americans or Europeans have.
It isn't about African-American bodybuilders. Please don't post photos of African-American bodybuilders just because they look good. African-American bodybuilders have numerous ways to get publicity, possess access to supplements and better nutrition than do most Africans, and have a host of other advantages. The group is only slightly about Africans in the United States, many of whom are also excellent bodybuilders. We'd love to have anyone, regardless of geographic location, background, bodybuilding experience, etc. join this group. But it is primarily about AFRICAN BODYBUILDERS IN AFRICA.
Please -- no potentially libelous comments, and no nudity, obscene photos or comments, etc., because that isn't what this group is for or about.
