17.2 black gelding   Message List

Zeus is a 17.2, black with dapples, percheron/tb gelding, which is
looking to find a home where he can go to work full time. He is sane,
sound and will vet no problem. Zeus has free jumped 5 ft, but I
really think his future career would be that of a field hunter,
dressage or adult rider horse. He doesn't kick, bite, hauls well and
ties like a dream. He has been ridden by my beginning rider husband,
who has no problem on him. With supervision of a trainer, this horse
would be great for the tall or larger adult rider who is just
starting. He is walk, trot, canter, and small fences. Can be safely
ridden out in the fields by him. Comes with his black bridle, saddle
and Big D winter blanket. Why am I selling this wonderful horse? We
have changed from a hobby farm to a warmblood-breeding farm, and a
gelding just doesn't fit in. I would trailer Zeus to Michigan to meet
a transport, and can do a video of him under saddle for any seriously
interested people. He is a large horse, not suitable for a junior
moving up off a pony (have had lots of those emails) as the percheron
look came through in his breeding, but that only helps to make him a
safe riding horse. He is not a dead head- he does have some go. He is
voice trained as well as leg and hand, and "whoa" works great. Zeus
is the type of horse that can have 6 months off (winter) and with
just a couple of minutes of lunging in the spring, is ready to go,
remembering everything from the last ride. He is a great horse who
just doesn't fit our needs, and should go to work and be enjoyed and
loved.

with pictures of Zeus, including one taken this autumn with my
husband on Zeus. My husband is 6'4" and Zeus is a good fit for him.

We have priced Zeus at $16,500
