This is a just a quick note to say thank you to all who helped out at the above
mentioned match last week? As you know already, this match had to be stopped
halfway through because I dislocated my knee and I thought I should take the
opportunity to thank several members of my team and inparticular a dark-haired
first aider (whom had been spectating) who gave herself cramp trying to support
my leg for the whole 45mins I was left on the gym floor waiting for an
ambulance! I was never told her name, and never really got a chance to say thank
you to her. So if anyone knows whom this woman is, please pass on my thanks and
tell her that her help was greatly appreciated. Although this now mean the end
of my netball season, her help definately helped me be slightly more
comfortable.

As two umpires are to be tested for their B grade on the Saturday, could people
turn up to play an hour-long game?    To be there by 15.15 for a 15.30 start.

Netball Scotland are creating a new exciting senior tournament  offering all
clubs the opportunity to participate in a national event from North to South.

This is like no other Netball Scotland event. It is aimed at developing players
within each club that may not have had as many opportunities to participate in a
competitive Netball Scotland event before. The tournament will be divided into 2
groups, teams participating in the North of Scotland and those in the South.

The aim of the group format is to ensure maximum participation offering the
opportunity for all affiliated clubs to take part in the competition. Each group
will come together at one venue within their area competing in a round robin
format (depending on entries) to eventually achieve placing for all teams.

Example: If there are 10 entries, top 5 will progress through to top section and
remaining 5 will progress to the consolation section

Once the group stages are completed all competing teams will come together for 1
final competition to determine the champion.

Dates

North Section - 13th Dec 09 - Beach Leisure Centre, Aberdeen 9am – 5pm
South Section - 13th Dec 09 - Cali Uni, Glasgow 	     9am – 5pm

All Teams will then progress onto:

Finals Day
20th Mar 2010
Meadowbank Sports Centre,
Edinburgh
9am -5pm

you must all be so sick of this question by now...but is anyone able to umpire for uni 1 on saturday at 1.30pm out at jesmond? also edinburgh 3rds (the team we are playing) has asked us to find them an umpire too, so im needing 2 umpires for that half 1 game. you would both be paid £15 if you help out. we would be really grateful and ofcourse if you ever needed a hand with umpiring we would be happy to help out. i know alison, jen and gemma cant do it but if anyone else can if you could get back to me asap that would be great. either email me back or text me on 07864684524

Firstly, a huge thank you to Alison Smith who came to my rescue yesterday and took on Ellon 1's umpiring commitment (Alison - remember to let us know when you want us to reciprocate).

Which brings me on to my next request....!  Ellon 1 have asked me to post to the e-group to see if any teams would be willing to do swaps for any or all of the three matches below.  These are all commitments which are being played on days where Ellon 1 don't have matches.  If they were able to swap them, it would save over an hours drive each way.  There must be other teams in the same situation? 

The matches in question are:-

02/12/09 - 7.15, Turriff -v- Uni 1

03/03/10 - 7.15, MTM1 -v- Uni 2

24/03/10 - 7.15, Hazlehead 1 -v- Lloyds Register 1

Dear Aberdeen Member,

  You are cordially invited to take part in Netball Scotland's third and final
Strategic Plan Consultation Day on Saturday 9th January 2010, 12 noon - 4.45pm
at the Thistle Aberdeen Altens Hotel, Souterhead Road AB12 3LF.

The aim of the day is to review Netball's current Strategy (2007-2011) and draft
Performance Plan, to assess what has been successful, where the gaps are and
what opportunities exist to support netball development - at all levels of the
game - in the years up to and beyond 2014.

The day will focus on obtaining your views on the issues as you see them and you
will have the opportunity to raise these through 3 discussion workshops.

  This is a real opportunity for your views – and those of the Club/Organisation
you represent – to be heard and taken account of in this National Review
process!


Please see the attached outline of the day and invitation which should be
completed and return to the Netball Scotland Offices no later than 9th December.

I've just had a call from our 1st Team to say that their umpire is off work sick and so won't be able to do her umpiring tonight. 

Our other Div 1 standard umpire is not able to take on the commitment either.

Would anyone be able to take on this commitment for us?  We would be happy to do a swap.

The game is the 7.15 game Hazlehead 1 -v- Chevron.

Committee, of qualified umpires who would be available to help out ADNA
clubs/teams who are unable to field an umpire for whatever reason.  (Almost like
a standby list)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A GUARENTEED SERVICE & UMPIRES ON THIS LIST WOULD
STILL NEED ADEQUATE NOTICE/WARNING IF REQUESTED TO TAKE ON AN UMPIRING
COMMITMENT FOR ANY CLUB/TEAM.
