Everything You Wanted To Know But Were Afraid To Ask

Training Activities Spotlight
"Playing With Four Goals" Is An Activity For A U-10 Team

"Playing With Four Goals" works on multiple skills for your U-10 team. You'll need 12 or more cones to mark the grid and four goals.

Organization: Using the cones, mark a 45 X 45 yard grid with a goal at the center of each side. The goals should be no more than three yards wide. Divide the players into teams of four or five, depending on the number of players. Place one team in pennies and give the other team the soccer ball.

How The Game Is Played: The teams play against each other inside the grid. The object of the game is to score a goal into each of the fours goals. The first team to score in all four goals wins the game.

Variations: Play one touch. Only allow goals to be scored by passing the ball through the goals. Only allow goals to be scored by dribbling the ball through the goals. Don't allow the same person to score again before another teammate has scored a goal.
