We hear that some croquet clubs are going quiet until August.
If any of you feel you need a cold winter hit why not come along to Elwood any Tuesday or Thursday?
Our lawns aren't the best in Melbourne and we're not the most organised club in town. But we're a small friendly bunch determined to give you a good time.
Mind you, less than half our members can play Association ... so you'll probably end up playing Golf or Ricochet. If Golf is the only game you play that's fine. We'll play that ... and then try and coerce you into trying Ricochet. It can be readily played and enjoyed by beginners.
Try and be there about 10:20 am for a 10:30 am start, or 12:50 pm for a 1:00 pm start. The affiliated visitors green fee cost is $5. Bring your lunch and make a day of it.
Just be prepared to muddle though a bit. It's the way things are done, at least at the present, at The Friendly Club ... beside the Sea.
