I've just been looking at the main knockout results for the ACA Womens GC up until the final. Jenny is currently working on an analysis to show the effect of various factors such as the toss based on data from the Capetown worlds, but I thought it was interesting to note that of the 16 matches that have gone to 3, so far, 14 of the matches have been won by the player who lost the second game.
This would tend to suggest that a different starting point or the pie rule would be beneficial.
