We had 15 "working girls" (no - most worked for the Defence Dept) aged 25 to 40 enjoying our club facilities yesterday.
They had a great time and enjoyed it so much that they made another booking.
These may be the players of the future. If only one or two of them would join the club and then play not only on playing days, but bring friends along on other days. Our lawns remain dormant on too many days of the week.
To me it seems essential that we should get as many people as possible playing our great game in all of its forms.
