Here are two responses I received from members that I want to pass along...
One member made a great point that (I'm paraphrasing here) even though
you may feel like you made an unforced error, your opponent may have
done an excellent job staying in the point long enough to let you make
that mistake.
Another player wrote the following: Saying "cho" or "hao cho" to praise
your own performance? Not me! To me, praising yourself is out of
Chinese character! I will be happy about a good shot I make, but will
not utter anything.
Thanks!
Joe B.
As usual, if you'd like to post an article to the list,
just send it in. I moderate this list because I want to keep the list
family-friendly and peaceful. (I'm a member of other non-professional
lists, and I get tired of seeing all the bickering and negative
comments that are inevitable.) But, anyone can send a story or
announcement, so please do. (List membership is just under 80 members
right now.)
