There's still time to register for the 2008 Austin Fall Round Robin, being held at the Austin Table Tennis Club this Saturday, October 11, 2008. This is a USATT-sanctioned tournament and is open to all USATT members. If you are not a USATT member, you may purchase membership along with your tournament entry.
The tournament will be in a Giant Round Robin format, with A-F singles divisions. Preliminary round robin groups will be played to determine singles divisions. The top finisher in each group will advance to the A group, second place finisher will advance to the B group, etc (all players play phases one and two). Second phase will feature two round robin groups in each division. In the final phase the top four players in each division (two from each group) will play cross-over matches with matches from phase two carried over. The tournament will also include two single elimination doubles events, Open and U3200.
Prize money will be awarded to the top three finishers of the A singles division: 1st, $250; 2nd, $125; 3rd, $75. Trophies will be awarded to the top two finishers in each of the other singles divisions. Medals will be awarded to the top two doubles teams in each doubles event.
