Fast Track Running Club and Adventuring Outdoors will sponsor a party barge on
Lake Travis on Saturday, July 19, for the GLBT sports groups in the area.

Here are some details:

Place: depart from the Just for Fun concession on Lake Travis. It is on the
opposite side of the lake from Hippie Hollow, at Hudson Bend. I will provide
directions later.

Time: assemble at Just For Fun at 2:30pm on 7/19. The barge leaves at 3:00. We
will arrive back at Just for Fun at 7:00pm, perhaps later depending on the
response we get.

Cost: The cost of this event will be $15.00 per person. We need 50 people for
this event. Payment must be made in advance. The sooner that I have a headcount,
the better we can plan the event.

Send a check for $15.00, payable to Jim Caruth. Please write "party barge" on
the "For______" portion at the bottom of the check. I will keep track of all
cash and check payments, and I will refund all money if we fail to get fewer
than the needed 50 people, which is unlikely.

Activity: We'll take the 2-deck barge from Just For Fun out onto Lake Travis for
an afternoon of swimming. We hope to have ski boats or jet skis as part of the
afternoon.

The barge comes with a pilot from Just For Fun, and is equipped with a sound
system. We need someone to DJ, and we need to plan for food.

All GLBT sports/rec groups in Austin are invited, as well as some gay running
clubs in Dallas and Houston.

There will be a limited number of spaces on the barge. We need a minimum of 50,
and I think there is a maximum of around 70. The first 50 payees get a place on
the barge.
