YOGA CLASS AND SOCIAL: A BENEFIT FOR AUSTIN SAFEPLACE
Saturday, February 22, 2003, 2-4pm
Suggested Donation: $10
Generously sponsored by:
Austin Yoga School, 1122-C South Lamar, and
Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse and Cafe, 1501 South 1st.

Come enjoy a refreshing yoga class, while supporting local charities!
Afterwards, enjoy vegetarian refreshments, while socializing with other
students, and instructors of several different styles of yoga.

Following extremely successful fundraisers for Project Transitions,
AustinCharityYoga.net has organized into a monthly gathering of yoga
teachers, offering a class that benefits a different local charity each
month. Our selected charity receives 100% of the funds raised by the
class; the teachers' time, the studio's space, and the refreshments are
all generously donated.

In February, we're donating all proceeds to Austin Safeplace, Austin's
domestic violence and sexual assault survival center.

Please join us on Saturday, February 22nd from 2-4pm at Austin Yoga
School, 1122-C South Lamar, for an Iyengar yoga class, followed by
vegetarian refreshments, courtesy of Bouldin Creek Coffeehouse and
Cafe'.

This will be an all-levels Iyengar yoga class, appropriate for ages 7
and up, regardless of fitness level, flexibility level, or prior yoga
experience. The class will be team taught by several Registered Yoga
Teachers, ensuring attention to each student's needs.

Iyengar is probably the most popular style of Hatha Yoga in the United
States. It focuses on precise attention to alignment in every pose,
while considering each individual's specific physical needs. Props such
as blocks, belts, and blankets are sometimes used in Iyengar classes to
ensure proper alignment for every student, even those with spinal or
health concerns.

Registration is suggested but not required. To register:
