****** Day Correction *******
I had previously stated that the picnic was going to be on the 5th,
but as memebers who can actually read a calendar have pointed out,
the 5th falls on a Saturday this year. Thank you to those who
notified me of this, we might have a calendar reading class as part
of the picnic! :)
Also.. here are the rough groundrules... this seemed to have worked
very nicely last year!
Here are the details:
1. We will furnish paper plates, utensils, name tags. (you are
welcome to bring more if you like)
2. Bring your own drinks.
3. Here are suggestions for food to bring. Please bring enough to
share with others:
If your last name begins with letter A through H bring an Entree (hot
entrée would be nice)
If your last name begins with letter I through P bring a side dish or
salad.
If your last name begins with letter Q through Z bring a dessert or
some type of bread (rolls, croissants, bread)
There is also a small grill; we will have the grill burning for
anyone who wants to use it.
4. The Pecan Grove Picnic area in Zilker Park is adjacent to Barton
Springs road, on the South Side of the street, near the Barton
Springs Road bridge.
5. If you are the leader of a sports organization, you may want to
bring some flyers or contact info for your organization.
6. Children & Families are welcome.
7. Bring any equipment or games that you think might be fun to play
in zilker on a saturday afternoon.
