Purely from a
business perspective, I think this could be very beneficial to both

Throwing MORE money at anything ever truly fixes it...it just "changes" it
until its initial inertia recovers from the infusion of the foreign influence
and picks up its original momentum.
In light of that, I'd like to see the AERC promote the sport of endurance
through its continuing self-monitoring mechanisms, i.e., rider feedback, vet.
committee feedback, ride management feedback and the honing of our sport from
inside the AERC in order to continue making this a safe and enjoyable sport for
human and horse.
The promotion of our sport in this way will benefit each of us and our
horses in the long run.
Staging "ENDURANCE EVENTS/HAPPENINGS" should take a backseat to having
ENDURANCE RACES/RIDES.
That's my myopic, but very personal view of this sport...keep it about
riding trails.
