Ajit Sarma 40th
Greg Scoma 41st

Below are details frm the Montreal event.

Hello boys, tournament concluded around 9:00pm.

If you picked Carlo Bossio to win, you are right!!!!!

47 participants. Thanks to everyone who came, and a special thanks to
the USA troop.

Hope everyone had a great time, and enjoyed the format. If not (we will
take any suggestions which can be productive)& we will try to be better
next year.

Yes Gino was out again in the second round, but I again was the one to
take him out.

As for Kenny Dubois my brother toke him out in the first round so Kenny
finishes a strong 9th. Series went in 4 and my brother told me Kenny
made him #OOPS# his pants!

Mr Lou Marinoff went the distance in the first round agains Burt but
lost game 5 in a thight series.

"A" division was won in 5 by Carlo against Angelo. After lossing the
first game and lossing 2-0 in game 2, I turned on the heat.

The "B" series went the distance with Denis Begin winning in OT 7th game
against Pierre Bechard.

The "C" division also went 7 with Pascal Leclerc beating Alain Lamaque.

Top 4 "A" Carlo...Angelo...Patrick Cote...Burt

Top 4 "B" Denis Begin... Pierre Bechard...Eric Maurice...Sam Carrier

Top 3 "C" Pascal Leclerc... Alain lamaque...Pierre Dansereau.

PS: Carlo lost in round 1 2-0 against Lou Marinoff and 4-2 against Kenny
Dubois in round 2. I was the 11th and in last place to make the "A" for
round 2. I one point I was sure to have to play in the "B".

Once again, thanks to everyone who showed up. Hope you enjoyed it enough

A big thanks to Benoit Desjardins for his countless hours of work for

their help.

Jim, you are right you have carried a portion of marketing table hockey alone on your shoulders. You cannot continue to carry table hockey moreless on your own if you want to bring it to the next level. You want more people, right? To bring it to the next level requires "inclusion", which means including people in decisions and operations.

I admire the work you have done, your energy and promotional ideas. I know, however, that we need more inclusion of people and their ideas to get organized and take it to the next level. I am not concerned about "my power." But, if you continue to write and say, "I decided" or "my" or that you "own" that divides. "We decided" or "our" unites. But, hey, what do I know.

About "talk being cheap" and taking action. Hmm...I went to:
* Johnny Goodguy 2005 and took another American player with me
* Quebec Open VI 2006
* NYC "Original Six" (next weekend)

Didn't see any Chicagoans at or signing up for any of those events!  I know the Canadians are good, but didn't know they scared off competition.

Oh, and I'm signed up for Vegas, baby! See you there if not in Chicago first. So, in my opinion, I'm walking the walk.

Warren - Again, I think yours is a wonderful site and I think it is good to have both the CCTHF and ACTHF under one umbrella assuming they will then work together. I maintain my comments made in the previous email. Thank you for your warm personal email and good luck.

Hello Josh. Nothing knee jerk about this move and it has nothing with the CTHA as ive been moveing my "stuff" tournanents and most postings to Tabke Hockey Heaven for the benifets and exposure for about a year now since myself nd Mr. Klotz have partnered together. Greg is very conserened of the power he has to interject to the ACTHF site and the power he has to interject into the Classic community. That has been his stance wit me from the moment he approached me. Its a tough sell Classic games is as games have to be literally found, bought, shipped and re built. I apreciate his help in some areas and i need him to be a good soldier in others LOL!! I will not have a big dicussion on every single inititive, or well thought idea i have for this federation. Where were all the idea givers and supporters just before this was created by myself??? I was looking high and low! If he does not like the way things are going Gregg can simply run his confederation in his ways that will help Classic games. We need more websites??? LOL!!! More visions???? LOL!! We need more players on nice tables in orginized fashion RIGHT NOW that is ****#1 priority****. Maybe then there will be something real to manage. To do this we need orginizers with top notch equiptment to orginize events in cities nation wide. Lots of vision Talk in this situation is a pipe dream before anything is happening. I herd a by year 2008 vision on the phone the other day and with all due respect i asure you it was a very nice and from the heart dream indeed. It comes very very cheap. Lets see orginizers get games, fix up games to top condition and get guys on the tables playing in orginized fashion. That is what is needed right now. Unitll then any vision is mearly a non realistic Dream that can be cheaply talked about on any website or just away to vent some frustrations. Ive spoken my mind on this and will not take the time to continually re hash it and discuss it over and over. Too busy getting games, fixing up games to top notch level, requiting players for events and orginizing tournaments in a orginized fashion as we move forward. Vision? Gimme a break. #1 Priority stated above is the attack plan. All the while its fun to see others entertain us with toughts and visions. I want to see elbows and asses on the tables ASAP! Lets GO!

See you in HEAVEN guys. ACTHF members will enjoy the beautiful website and enjoy the bigger Exposure Table Hockey Heaven provides.

Then see you in Las Vegas!
for the COLECO CLASSIC CUP. You going??? You can HELP by signing up TODAY.

Based on a friends suggestion, I will not be posting a thread
asking for imput. A better idea for reviewing the THH site was put
forth and I will be looking into the possibilty of taking that
avenue instead.

Thanks, Warren

Some very good points. Most importantly, I would agree with you
that the decision to move to THH must be in the best interest of the
ACTHF ... it shouldn't be a knee-jerk reaction to the CTHA's
decision to move their forum there.

Knowing Warren as I do, I believe he would be very willing to work
with you to leverage the traffic his site receives, and the
comprehensive resources he has compiled to enhance what the ACTHF is
trying to accomplish. I think if you are able to reach an agreement
that serves the purposes of both THH and the ACTHF, then you will be
in an even stronger position to accomplish points 3, 4, and 5 in
your post.

Hi there Greg, I don't think THH is hard to find your way around
once you get to know it. It just has lots of info :-) - But then I
am biased and of course I know my way around.

It has loaded slowly lately since an upgrade. Keep in mind that
yahoo groups suffer the similar fate... sometimes they load slowly
and sometimes the messages aren't accessible.

The CTHA forum settings weren't set up right. They are now fixed so
members can post there.

Restructuring THH? Maybe... depends on a number of things. Keep in
mind that besides the fourms; the site has over 300 pages and many
features. Takes alot of work to restructure.

The CTHA and ACTHF are just using my forums to host their official
fourms only. So it is pretty straight forward stuff. If they want
more then maybe we can work something out.

I will start a thread on THH asking for site suggestions... and then
go from there.

Thanks for you imput. Warren

I like the idea of the CCTHF and ACTHF being under one umbrella. I
am a member of and occassionally visit Table Hockey Heaven (THH).

I will play the role of loyal opposition to balance us from jumping
from one thing to another without a lot of thought, or systematic
group input.

1 - Table Hockey Heaven (THH) is aesthetically a busy website and
logically hard to find things and it loads slowly. Also, today since
it was mentioned in one of the messsages, I tried to go to the CTHA
forum at THH and was denied (that I'd no permission).

2 - I fear both CCTHF and ACTHF, our members and our goals may get
lost in there as THH is currently constructed. Now, that said, maybe
THH could restructure the website so that it is more user-friendly?
Is Warren open to taking a look at the architecture and layout of
the site and restructuring it? Is there a way we can help him?

3 - I really question this idea of everyone for himself...that we
don't want organization or titles. I mean, poof! today the ACTHF
message board will be shut down. One person's decision. I really
think there needs to be some structure to our cause. Something I am
trying to create. Do we want chaos? I just don't think we can grow
that way. And, to not be organized means this game stays a toy and
in the basement.

4 - We also need players who are willing to travel across the border
of their province/state and of their country, to play in
international tournaments. I am open to any ideas how we can
facilitate that. And, yes, I have travelled to two in Canada.

5 - The point of CNACTO is to have one place solely dedicated to
discussing and working to achieve a Vision. Am I the only one who
has the following vision? That of seeing classic coleco-style table
hockey become regarded by most of the public as a skilled sport and
the most prestigious table hockey game to be associated with and
proficient at playing?

I see a day, when this game becomes a sport with celebraties and on
TV just like pool/billiards, bowling, darts and poker.
