Hockey sur Table Quebec (HTQ) (Table Hockey Quebec) has four events
on its tournament circuit. HTQ uses the new board on the TH
scene...it is the hot board...the custom Coleco boards made by
Labelle, Leclerc or Bossio.

Hockey sur Table Quebec's tournament circuit cycle operates much
like it does in Tennis, Golf or NASCAR. HTQ's cycle started in
September 2007, the Montreal Classic and moved on in November 2007,
the Omnium de Hockey sur Table Sherbrooke. The upcoming and new stop
on the circuit is March 8, Gatineau Classic (across the river from
Ottawa, Canada's capital). The tournament year ends in May 2008, the
Quebec (City) Open.
Some tournaments use a playoff format whereby once you lose you are
done for the day. That is NOT how HTQ tournaments are organized. The
HTQ tournament format allows each player to continue to "play on" to
determine their truest finish on a day versus the other players. The
higher your finish the more tournament points you earn, which is
partly a factor of how many total participants there are at that
tournament. The higher your finish the more points you earn. Those
tournament points accumulate from one tournament to the next,
allowing each player an opportunity to improve his or her tournament
year ranking.
In addition to the many participants from Quebec, Canadians from
other provinces and numerous Americans participate in the HTQ
tournaments and jockey for position in the tournament year rankings.
For example, Ontarioan, Dave Kraehling is currently ranked #5 and
American, Lou Marinoff is currently ranked #9.
