Hey guys! Just thought I'd update you. I'm in Boulder, Colorado. I
posted to THH and the Colorado Avalanche's website a month ago
looking for TH players here. Since then I've found 10 and I'm
putting them all in contact with one another. About half are Chexx
players and the other half mixed Benej, Stiga, & Coleco.


I've advertised the upcoming tournaments in NYC and Montreal, as
well as provide links to those tournaments sites and TH websites in
general to let people in Colorado know that TH exists and is
thriving.


One of the players Kenny Dubois put me in touch with, Graham Barber,
who is from Massachusetts and a great Stiga player. He is also great
on Chexx having gone to the NHL's Stanley Cup series to play in
Chexx Championships with play-by-play from real NHL game announcers.
He's also played TH games against great NHL players. Graham's a real
competitor.


Another player, Dave DeJaeger, played TH years ago and is the proud
new owner of a Benej game. He's already got that rebound off the
wall behind the net in three places and back to his center trick
down pat.


I individually got together with each player weeks ago. Each beat me
on their boards.


On Labor Day, Dave invited all of us to a BBQ at his home to play on
both Coleco and Benej. I brought guy flowers (six pack of Grolsch
beer) and girl flowers (real flowers) for Dave's wife putting up
with our hooting and yelling.


We played for more than six hours! -- Briefly breaking for dinner
and later pie. The remaining two hours or so, we played seven round
robins alternating between the Benej (4 games each) and the custom
Coleco (three games each), each person playing a total of fourteen
games. I'll post some photos soon.


Graham's got those deadly center spin moves / shots down on both the
Stiga and Benej. Ouch!


I understand a neighbor and table hockey afficianado is Avalanche
player Scott Parker. I hear he's a tough player on the ice, but a
real nice guy in person. Another Avalanche player who plays table
hockey (if I understood correctly) is Milan Hejduk. Hoefully, I can
get some games in with them.

The other link will (I assume) will show you the players signed up
for Chexx. Matt Hand, formerly Western NY; Jim Freiberger, formerly
Western NY; Ron Ondechek, Jr formerly Pittsburgh; John Moruzzi,
Littleton, CO; and Desiree (woman), Erie, CO.

The Chexx players will be meeting regularly and we'll probably drop
in on them a few times.
