Charlie Zink and three relievers combined on a five-hitter, and Brandon Moss drove in the only run with a sacrifice fly as the Sea Dogs beat the New Britain Rock Cats 1-0 Monday in Portland, Maine.

 

Zink (1-0) allowed four hits in six innings. Phil Devey followed with a perfect 1 2/3 innings. Talley Haines allowed one hit in a third of an inning and Cla Meredith pitched a perfect ninth for his third save.

 

The Sea Dogs did not walk a batter in lowering their team ERA to 1.40.

 

Matt Yeatman (0-1) allowed six hits and one run in five innings.
