The Bowie Baysox Booster Club traveled to Altoona, PA for yesterday's
game. The locals won 5-4 in the ninth with a dinger from Tike Redman
(former Bowie National in the Maryland Fall League). While it would
have been nice to come home with a sweep, seeing this brand-new 6,000+
seat stadium was worth the trip all by itself.

The ballpark exterior is red brick and immediately reminded everyone of
Camden Yards. It has two concourse levels, and really has the feel of a
much larger facility. An interesting feature is the rollercoaster just
outside the right field fence. Ticket prices are reasonable (see their
site at http://www.altoonacurve.com), although concessions are a bit
pricey. The fans were great to us, and the Curve should definitely be
included in your plans for visiting Eastern League ballparks.
