Minnesota (ss) 13 at NY Yankees 2

New Britain Rock Cats stand out Terry Tiffee had four
hits and two RBIs to lead a split squad of the
Minnesota Twins to a 13-2 pounding of the New York
Yankees in today's Grapefruit League game at Tampa's
Legends Field.

The Minnesota farm hands continued to excel as Michael
Restovich recorded two hits and two RBIs and
designated hitter Rob Bowen drove in three runs for
the Twins.

Sean Douglass picked up the win after allowing two
hits and striking out two in two scoreless innings.
Prospect Jesse Crain, who is looking to join the Twins
Major League bullpen sometime this season allowed one
hit and struck out one during his inning pitched.
Mike Nakamura allowed one hit during his closing
frame.

While the Yankees squad fielded Jeter, Rodriguez,
Giami and Lofton, they could only record two runs, as
the Twins defense left the Yankees with 11 on base.

Jorge De Paula fell to 0-2 this spring after allowing
two runs and five hits in three innings.
