It would seem that some one who bills themself as
"Jason Giambi" with the e-mail of nygiambi@...
has started a new Rock Cats Group.

Evidently, he is a former New Haven Fan who has lost
his team. Check out:

This same "Jason Giambi" who is not the New York
Yankees player, also billed himself out as Joe Mauer
on the Friends of the Hanky board. After checking it
out with Joe today, I removed his post.

He also called the exisiting Rock Cats group "weak"
and stated to me he was planing to promote his club by
passing out flyers at the Rock Cats games and having
the Offical Rock Cats Website post a link to his club.

I personally find it distasteful that someone would
impersonate a player on the internet to promote their
group. I also find it immature and silly to use the
name of the MLB player, not only as your screenname
(which many people do) but also as your so called
"Real Name" which attaches to your e-mails.

I can only hope that the so call true fans of the Rock
Cats will join the longest and most reliable source of
Rock Cats information on the internet:
