There is a meeting out there this coming weekend. Don't know if you are into RV'ing but even if not, it's a good Saturday outing. We have a lot of people who just come out for Saturday. My wife and I live in Temecula and are going out Friday through Sunday.
I also mentioned the Wind Wizards web site as they almost always have "boats" for sale. http://www.windwizards.org/ I see there is a single with trailer for sale at $1,000. Most of the good deals, however, never get on to the web site, as the members informally talk to each other via an email chain.
No pressure, but if you decide to come out this weekend or any other, I'll be happy to send directions, and I think they also have them on the web site. Everyone is friendly including us. The first time I showed up there with a $100 home made boat, everyone treated me like a long lost brother. I've never forgotten that or the hair raising Manta ride provided. I bought a new one two weeks later!
BTW, the BLM just instituted a fee structure to get on the lake. Day use is $15 per vehicle, which I think is high, but it really cut down on the jerk motorcycle riders. While I'm an old dune buggy enthusiast, one doesn't have to ride through another's camp at 50 mph all day.
