Logon "handles" will be grudgingly tolerated, however, I WILL expect messages to be signed with the appropriate REAL name. We don't need or want a full resume, but we do want "real life" contact.

This list IS NOT be a narrow band topic list. The discussion will range far and wide and as long as it is of interest to the MEMBERS of the list, it's not "off topic." I expect we'll have heated discussions over time. The single imperative is, DO NOT irritate the moderators, because they DO hold absolute power. I grow less and less willing to be second guessed and whined on.

Overall, I exercise a "hands off" policy, I don't censor, I rarely remove anyone, and, other than moderating the first few messages for new members (to strain out the spammers) I leave the list alone.

If a topic is NOT of interest to you, and you want to see something else, by all means POST A MESSAGE with your questions, thoughts or theories. If THAT topic is of interest, a thread will develop. TAKE THE INITIATIVE. If you don't like what's there, change it, but don't bitch to everyone else that what THEY'RE interested in is somehow "bad."

On THIS list, the topic isn't what makes the list "good", it's the members of the LIST that make it what it what it is.
