Yeah I know, I never really thought this stuff would work either, but honestly
I stand totally corrected. This place http://www.thesinglesite.info/jcyo is
actually very awesome. I hooked mycam up and within no time at all I was
talking to a few great ladies over it. Anyway, I recommend it to everyone here!
Just thought I should pass on my knowledge to all you guys (and gals) on here. I
know just like heaps of other men I am pretty shy when it comes to going up to
someone. I've tried a few different places (clubs, bars, etc) but never seem to
have too much luck. Anyway, a few weeks ago I joined up to
http://www.lookwatwehavehereyo.info/bnkr and I have to say I am already getting
excited. I was beginning to think I'd end up being alone for ever, but already
been talking to a few interested ladies on there. Anyway, if you're like me it
comes highly recommended!

After many requests, I have finally made some notecards of my artwork. To 'test the waters' I have listed 7 different card sets on eBay. As an introductory offer, I'm sellling a set of 5 for $5 with $2.50 shipping & handling for up to 25 cards.
Actually, if you write to me directly, I will be more than happy to give you the same offer on any of the animal, landscape or still life art on my site. A Portrait For You http://APortraitForYou.com
If you'd like a free sample card, I'll send you one of your choice for the $2.50 shipping (but I think 5 for $5 is a better deal)
If you'd prefer to go through eBay, here is the link:
Hi All -
Well, I hope everyone is busy creating beautiful art ;o) I have
finally gotten a new dog portrait on my site - you might enjoy seeing
it -
http://APortraitForYou.com/animals/dogs.html
The new one is Chloe - the black dog with the green background. There
are more new portraits in the 'people' section. I have another dog
portrait - a graphite - that I want to get on the site, but I'm not
sure when that's going to happen LOL
Since you're artists, too, thought I'd tell you that I found a table
of art books at a book shop and bought two copies, one for me and one
for you ;o)
I am putting abot 4 at a time on eBay - These four books will end
TODAY at about 7pm Central time -
CAPTURE THE MAGIC OF YOUR HOMETOWN IN WATERCOLOR - this is a great
book, not just for watercolor. If you're like me, you have a ton of
photos that you've taken because you loved the scene, but when you
get them developed, they just don't capture it - this artist shows
you how to use those photos and combine them with others, and change
the light and weather, etc to create fantastic paintings. You can use
this information to create in any medium. He also tells you how to
market your paintings.
SPLASH 5 THE MAGIC OF TEXTURE - beautiful watercolor inspiration
book. I don't do many watercolors, but I love to sit down and drool
over the artwork. It has inspired some of my pastel and oil works.
CAPTURING RADIANT COLORS IN OILS - Susan Sarback - this book is out
of print - the startign bid is $9.99 - you can't find a copy anywhere
for less than $18 - and this is a brand new copy. There is some
damage to one corner, it looks like it got caught in a drawer or
something, but if you want to learn how to see and use color - you
really ought to have this book - it's rated 5 stars at Amazon, and I
agree!
WATERCOLORIST'S COMPLETE GUIDE TO COLOR - This book will help you
really understand color, from the basics to advanced. I enjoy my
copy, even though it's dedicated to watercolor, like all good
artbooks, you can use the information in any media.
I'll be posting the following books in a few hours -
CREATIVE LIGHT & COLOR TECHNIQUES IN WATERCOLOR - this is another
really good colr and light book. There are tons of photos and ides
here.
BEST OF COLORED PENCIL 5 - an oversized book with fantastic Colored
Pencil artwork
SPLASH 4 THE SPLENDOR OF LIGHT and SPLASH 5 THE GLORY OF COLOR - two
more in the Splash series
To see any or all of these -

rt=3&rows=25&since=-1
or search by seller lizarmon@...
Hope you enjoy looking - If you're a bibliophile like me, this is a
treasure trove LOL

I apologize that this information may not be topic appropriate for this
list, but please understand that we need to do all we can to get all the
assistance we can to with this issue, again I apologize.
Attention Attention....All PA Equine Enthusiasts.
As you may already know the PA Game Commission proposed regulations that
would ban all non hunting activities from the PA State Games Lands.
Unfortunately, the PA Equine Council Trail Chairman sent word to all the
Regional and County Directors as of Feb. 12, 2002 that the Game
Commission has passed these regulations. We are now in a 90 day comment
period. The Pennsylvania Equine Council has developed a petition and
sample letter that can be printed off their web site at
http://www.pastatehorsecouncil.homestead.com/GAMELANDINDEX.html. This
is the time that the equine community needs to bond together and do our
best to change this regulation. The PA Equine Council would greatly
appreciate any assistance in contacting the equine community in your
area. Please note we are up against a deadline on this issue (April
9, 2002). We need all the assistance we can get on this issue.
Thanx!
Amy Skvarka

Hi all!
I know I've been lurking, but I wanted to let you all know that I
have started a group specifically devoted to monthly group projects -
the artwork will be done from the same reference photo or idea, and
is open to ALL media. We haven't done the first painting yet, I
wanted to get you invited before we started - it looks like it's
going to be a great, very active group - If you're looking for a way
to get your creative juices flowing, and just have some FUN, send an
email to:
rotla-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
(it stands for Raiders of the Lost Art . . . . <grin>)
Hope to see you there!
